The Orchard

You should know what we are providing and why we are providing it.

What:
Fruit that comes straight from the tree directly to you. How is this accomplished? By going to farmers like our neighbor Ray Wolverton who grows the best Rainier Cherries in the Lower Yakima Valley. We go to our brother-in-law Tim Calhoun with Calhoun Family Fruit to find the finest peaches. And with only a slight bias, we would have to say our pops grows the absolute meanest Bing Cherries in the Yakima Valley. So, we go straight to the farmer to pick up the fruit the morning its been harvested, sort it, rinse it, pack it and bring it to your home or office.

Why: Since being kids we wondered why fruit from the store didn't taste nearly as good as the fruit we ate out in the orchard. Nothing compares to the flavor of fruit picked right off the tree and we want you to experience the gift we had growing up as the sons of a farmer. In addition, after years of seeing Pops ship his fruit off to a warehouse to be sold commercially in other states or across the Canadian border we hope to see more local Washington State residents enjoying the fruit from their backyard. By following the harvest you get to taste fruit that truly represents all the hard work a small farm farmer puts into nurturing their crops.

Harvest kicks off in June with plump cherries and runs through October with crisp, juicy apples. Our desire is to provide you with a weekly delivery of at least 4 pounds of fresh, Lower Yakima Valley fruit the day after being picked off the tree all summer long! It's our promise that we select from small family farms only the best fruit we can find. We are the only set of hands between you and the farmer and you'll have their fruit within a day or two of it being picked off the tree! We invite you to Follow the Harvest and enjoy the benefits of fresh and tasty fruit that is in season and local to Washington State.
